Ads between Threads

Is it possible to adapt that code so it can also be used to place adverts between a set number of threads in the same way?

I attempted it myself, but it only showed within the icon column.

The following placed in the thread list template of the board layout should get you there

Place this code in a line directly above the {/foreach} line in the THREAD LIST template (in a default Thread List template of course, if it has been already modified from the default then it might be different)

1. The code is set up to insert an ad at index 5 and then after every 5th thread (5,10,15) ...change steps to be shorter or longer as desired (see image in spoiler) (note: indices start at zero so first insert would be after 6th in this scenario)
2. The default number of threads displayed per page load is 20, if you've changed yours in setting then adjust the code accordingly
3. The row that is inserted is given a class of .user-ad-row and given a colspan of 7 to cover all the columns but if you've added columns then increase that number accordingly. Also note that you could just set a colspan of 100 and have it work in all browsers up to 100 actual columns before falling short but this causes rendering delays in some browsers when the colspan is more than the actual columns it is supposed to span
4. The div that is meant to hold the ad is given a class of .user-ad with an additional class containing the index at which it was inserted to uniquely address the ad if so desired (e.g. "user-ad user-ad-5")
5. I did not pursue results for page 2, 3, etc. but if memory serves the index resets and starts over at zero on each page load which means page two would basically mimic results seen on page one and so on.
