Hi, I just thought I'd give ProBoard my feedback after having used it for a few days.
Firstly, I'd like to say that you did a great job with ProBoards. I was surprised by how easy and quick it was to get a forum up and running.
A few things that I'd recommend for V6...
1) A bit too many times, I ran into the problem of changing the color or style of an element, and it also changed the color of other elements. I think it would be better if the Visual Editor was more specific. For example, the background colors for nav tree, nav tree drop down, news feed, should all be completely separate. If people want an "overall" color scheme, they should be a different menu, like the "Color & Theme Creator".
2) The graphical icons that ProBoards comes with look extremely dated. BBCode buttons, Emojis, and the Forum Icons.
3) Regarding the forum icons, I would like to make a suggestion, please do not use a picture of a folder for a thread. The icon for a thread should be something else, like a speech bubble.
4) By default, I think that the text "Threads" and "Replies" visible on the home screen, should be in the upper bar where the category label is (or at least give an option to switch to that option).
5) Would be nice if through the Visual Editor we could customise every line in a border, so that we could remove vertical lines from the table in home view. It would also be nice if we could customise the color of any column.
6) Would be nice if we had floating posts that are not connected as an option. This is very modern nowadays.
7) Overall, would be nice to see more customisability. For example, there is no way to change the size of the nav tree or news feed, there's no way to change the thickness of the > arrow in the nav tree or set its color (without affecting other things), etc. Still too much reliance on CSS skills.
8) Sometimes it's difficult to figure out where in the visual editor I need to go to adjust something. It would be nice if there was some kind of visual feedback without having to change values and look for what changes.
9) Need to add line-height as an option for posts.
10) The BBCode editor is a bit glitchy at times. I found it difficult to make nested lists. Also, sometimes I would click inside a dialog popup, but the BBCode editor would register the click as if I was clicking a button underneath the popup, and so I had to move the popup to another location.
