Is there anything you've done in your past that you've seen so much as a "misstep?" If so, what was it? A regret of mine was when I did something at my old forum, years ago. I changed the theme of it which proved to be an unpopular move and most posters there left. I'd forgotten that they had joined to be on a television forum, and that went away for them when the theme changed. Many television forums are around these days, anyway. So it saves me from having to compete with them, at least. Another regret is that I didn't focus more on the task at hand in college.

My biggest regret was letting my heart override my head and move from WA state to NY to marry a guy I had met online. We had had many visits before that, but I learned later on that vacation dating truly does not show you everything about a person. However, had that not happened, I probably would still be in WA and would never have met Knightly Celt and found such happiness with an amazing guy. We've been married 17 years now.

wildmaven, So, it's definitely not a regret. You just needed someone to help you take out the trash and show you the greener side of the fence.

Not really. No. Things happen for a reason. Sometimes out of your control. Everything is a learning lesson.

Darkmage4, I really agree with that. There were times when I had regrets immediately after something happened, but every bad encounter turned into something amazing. The good thing that followed may have never happened if the bad thing didn't happen.

I regret not asking a couple women that I met recently out. Who knows if I would see them again?

I feel like almost everyone goes through the vacation dating experience once, it's a very good and human point Marian! I used to a little, but the older I get I have less and less, to the point I don't even want to mention the couple I have left in reserve because I'm hoping they'll disappear into nothingness in the next couple of years Chaz
