[help] editing posts with sonorous theme.

hi, i'm in the process of creating my own proboards forum and i've decided to use punkii's "sonorous" theme.

i'm encountering an odd difficulty when it comes to trying to edit first/intro posts. when i create a new thread, post it, and wish to edit the first post, all of my previous text gets deleted from the text box when i try to edit - basically it looks like i'm just trying to start a brand new post instead of edit my previous work.

now here's the weird thing, if i make a second post, i am able to edit that second post without any hassle. more so, i can edit that first post with no issue, but only when there is a reply under it. strange.

any thoughts why this is happening?

my trouble shooting so far:
- disable plugins to see if it's a plugin issue.
- update mac iOS & browser.
- try using a different browser.
- disable browser extensions to see if that's interfering.
- access forum on mobile: the edit feature works fine in mobile view, but reverts back to previous issue when i switch to desktop view.
- switch to default theme: no editing issue present. problem returns when switching back to sonorous.

sonorous is not in the theme library but i can link to the creator's thread with the downloadable file if necessary.

There's a similar issue that Scott resolved here with another theme from the same author.
