One of the earliest original plans was to have both Kelpies as 100m (328.08 feet) squared, housing two massive
water tanks and pumps that would contain two times the water volume of the locks, the contribution from
Falkirk Council was £700,000 ($1.05 million), however due to local goverment changes from Labour to No overall
control to SNP every five years and multiple last minute changes lead to massive waste of tax payers money and
finally creating just two 30m (98.42 feet) squared ornaments for a total contribution from Falkirk Council
of £14 million ($21 million)!

Bonnybridge is about 4 miles west from this tiny working boat lift, it's so tiny you can barely see it from the A803 about half a mile away.

The Kelpies ornaments cost £21 million pounds and is about 7 miles to the North East, it's best free view is on the North Bound heading towards Kincardine M876 on the M9 at Grangemouth,
