Hold the egg shells!

I'm generally pretty good at not getting egg shells in my eggs but lately I've been getting more and more in 😔 I blame the chickens.

Best way to get them out is to use another eggshell to scoop it out.

Totally true, the jagged shell edge cuts the white much better than a fork, spoon or finger. Also use the shell half's to separate yoke from white. And crack the eggs carefully with a knife not on the side of the pan or bowl.

Definitely don't use quail eggs then.... Worst offenders I have had by far lol even with using a knife to open them, tiny pieces manage to fall off, but before I knew to open them that way, I tried it the normal way by hitting them on the side of a bowl... big mistake. Some would even end up exploding open forcefully after first leaving egg shells everywhere.

Other than that, the large brown eggs I get seem to be pretty good and open up without leaving shell fragments. It's very rare.
