I believe the owner of the site said that they made some modifications, but overall it was a skin that they downloaded from somewhere. (Yet they don't remember where as it was a few years ago) Does it look familiar at all to anyone? I'd love to know where it came from if possible, thanks!

If you have contact with the owner of the site, you can ask them to go to Admin > Themes > Theme Manager and see which theme is set to the default theme.
