These online bullies have no power over you. You don't need their permission to have a good ProBoards experience. Walk away from them. Block them if you feel it's necessary.

Some level of indifference comes with age, but things still bother me. I care about everyone on my forum. However, trolls aren't worth the time. Think about how sad they are if they are spending their time attacking others who only seek to run a positive forum.

I don't think you have to be "strong". People often mistake strength for a lack of emotional response and that's simply not true. I actually disagree with the posted quote, because how toxicity makes you feel isn't about whether or not you consent to feel that way. It is okay to feel hurt when someone does something hurtful.

The problem for you though, I think, is that you're trying to be everyone's friend in your capacity for being an admin. You want to get on with everyone, you don't want to make someone mad at you even if they're in the wrong / breaking the rules / are misbehaving.

In order to run a successful forum, it's really just being consistent. I made that mistake in my early years, trying to be everyone's friend and get everyone to behave through understanding. It honestly doesn't really work that way.

If people are being snotty, and you don't like it, ban them. It's your forum, not theirs.

Yes just sucks to see the Trolls all over the unterweb and the only option is to block them.
