Hi! I tried a little while ago to add a custom cursor to my forum using an old help thread on the topic I found on this site; it didn't work, and upon removing the code in my global header for it my forum was saddled with this odd bloating between the link / pages banner and the news banner. (The global header code is completely empty and has nothing in it; I removed the code upon seeing the custom cursor didn't work.)
I've since tried looking around in different browsers and I've tried changing my theme; the odd spacing issue persists no matter what. Is there any way to fix this? It's harmless, but it's driving me nuts to the point I've considered scrapping the forum and starting anew (which I don't want to do because of the fact URLs are unusable any more upon deletion.) Is this the right topic for this? Thank you in advance!

Is this the right topic for this? Thank you in advance! That space houses an ad; are you using ad blocker? (Note that if you are, please add PB as an exception as its against the TOS to use an ad blocker on PB) All new forums get around 2 weeks of ad free as a thank you for creating the forum, which likely explains why you have only noticed it now, and the 2 weeks just coincidentally managed to expire as you removed the code. However, if you are well past the 2 weeks since creating your forum before this issue occurred, we'd need the URL to the forum to investigate. PS: in the future, if you think something relating to coding has gone awry, provide the URL to your forum in your opening post. It's usually a necessity in order to have someone diagnose the issue / see how the coding was implemented.

That explains it! I'll add PB as an exception immediately, it seems I missed that in the TOS. That's entirely on me in that case.

That's entirely on me in that case. Haha, no worries! You are absolutely not the only one, so don't stress. As long as you add the exception, no harm done (you should also add freeforums.net and boards.net in addition to proboards.com as they are also PB domains). Since PB is a free, ad-supported service, blocking ads negatively impacts PB's ability to provide said service. If they're a bother, you can always either a) buy ad free for your forum, or b) buy ProBoards+ for yourself which will give you ad free on any forum you're a part of whilst you're logged into your account.
