I was so sad to hear this. She wasn’t young and she had serious health issues. But, nonetheless, she was one of those people who seemed immortal. Silly idea I know. But some people just have that presence.
I’m glad I saw her at very the start of her big comeback in the UK in the 80’s. This is one of my favourite vids’. I always have to make a move when it hots up.😀 Love to have been on that stage..even though the vile Ike was there. Hateful as he was, he did set her on her way and his behaviour made her strong and determined.
I have a bad cold and a chest infection….a gift from my holiday in Greece. But, I’ll be up shaking my bootie. Luckily, none of you will have to witness it.🫣

One of the all time great celebration songs.  

Sad to hear of her passing.  I remember watching a bio-film about her ( and her relationship with Ike ) when i was growing up.  Great singer, and great person.
