Forum URL: warriorsblackdawn.boards.netHello, I'm the Graphic designer of this forum and I'm having some issues in the theme settings. At first, the default text of the whole forum was in bold. I tried to set the bold weight to 400/Normal and everything returned to normal. Whether I tried to change the default text to 400 or 700, nothing changed. It seems that the default text weight is completely controlled by the bold weight function. Furthermore, there is another function that doesn't seem to work: I can't seem to change the hyperlinks' color or add an underline to them. They look just as the default text and they are not evident, so it's hard to find them in the post. Why am I having these issues? I have controlled the CSS codes, too, and tried to fix it from there. But it didn't work.

wingnettle - Regarding the hyperlinks in posts, add this to the bottom of your style sheet. Change hex color accordingly. .posts .post .message a { text-decoration: underline; color: #000000; }

What are you trying to achieve here?

Should I add it at the bottom of the whole CSS code? Regarding the bold thing... Basically what I'm trying to say is that since the beginning the default text in the forum was in bold. To return to normal, I had to change the bold settings and set it to normal (400) so now everything is in normal size, but bold is not usable anymore.

(Sorry I wasn't clearer about this.)Did you change the bold setting to normal view the Visual Editor or directly in the CSS Style Sheet? What is a example of something you want to change to bold but cannot?

What is a example of something you want to change to bold but cannot? The hyperlink thing is now fixed, thank you!! I tried both from the visual editor and the CCS but the result is the same. As soon as I set the bold weight to "bold" again, the default text becomes bold instead of normal. For example, look at the BB code of the first post here: warriorsblackdawn.boards.net/thread/66/joy-growing?page=1&scrollTo=474It's in bold, but it looks normal.

No, I'm referring to this one: warriorsblackdawn.boards.net/post/269Also, I have another request to make after we fix this one. I'd like to add a bump button next to the quote or the edit button, so that we don't need to make a new post to bump a thread. Would you be able to provide us with a code to put into the CSS sheet?

The areas you have marked as bold are showing as bold. Bumping a post (other than by posting) is a moderator action. Staff (or a member) with this power can easily do this by selecting the thread (tick the box next to the title) and then from the Actions drop down select Moderate > Bump.

I don't know why you are seeing it, but neither I nor any other member of the forum can see the texts in bold. About the bump button; I don't think we have that feature in our forum. I'll attach a screenshot. Also, I'd like to extend the possibility to bump for everyone directly from inside the thread, not only for moderators.

wingnettle - let's tackle the bold first. So I see now this is a theme issue. It might take be a bit to track down why this is occurring. When you were change the forum's bold/normal, where did you do this?

When you were change the forum's bold/normal, where did you do this? I did it from the CSS sheet and the Visual Editor Builder. I messed around until I figured out that setting the bold text weight to 400 (as the normal text weight) finally allowed our default text to return to normal. Before that, everything people posted came out in bold.

wingnettle - well currently you have the default bold text set for 'normal' which is overriding the bold in posts. (And perhaps elsewhere.) This is at Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS, Visual Editor tab, then Forum >Text Styles > Default Forum Text > Bold > Font Weight. Change this setting back to bold, and save. If there are other parts of the forum that are bold that you don't want bold, best to try and modify via the corresponding section of the Visual Editor. Or if you need to do it via CSS, be careful making changes to anything with an "@" as that is a variable that will most likely affect multiple areas. If it's an exact definition (no variable) you modify that section of code, or just target the element by adding new code at the bottom of the CSS. Example - This is what I mean by exact: blockquote { display: block; margin: 15px 40px; } This is ok to modify directly without it affecting other elements. This is with variable: .bold, b { font-weight: @bold_weight; font-size: @bold_size; } In this case whatever is initially defined (usually in the Visual Editor) for @bold_weight and @bold_size will affect every element in the CSS that references these variables.

I did it, but now we need to figure out why everything is bold. As you can see from the CSS, the default text is set to normal but I see everything in bold.

wingnettle - Define "everything else" - looking at the forum (WBD-Dawn theme), not everything is bold.
