Movie Time
Is this a summer to remember? Do we know what you did last summer?
Tell us about your favorite summer themed movie, or any movie you associate with summer.
Did you use to look forward to the cool evenings at the drive-in theater? Or escape the day's heat at the mall theater?
Grab a bag of popcorn, it's movie time!

Only because of the sand and the heat but this movie always reminds me of summer funny enough.

I love going to the cinema. I probably go about 80-100 times a year. Seen some great films in the past year as well, with my favourite probably being Aftersun.
This time of the year, though, it is fully of comic book and the like films that don't interest me. Sometimes my cinema will go through a period of putting classic films on, usually for their anniversary. I'm hoping they put a few on over the summer for those not interested in Marvel, DC or Barbie etc.

Prices for going to the cinema are crazy where I am, so I just wait till they come on the tv / dvd or blu-ray.

For the equivalent of around 20 movies a year, i can see however many movies I want. It also gives a discount on food and drink, which is nice.

I haven't seen this in a while, but it has a fun, summer movie vibe.

I took my son to the local cinema and spent over 50 bucks just on tickets popcorn and soda. However, I do LOVE them, the calming vibe. Sometimes I don't take him and I just go in there and relax. My favorite movie this summer? The NEW John Wick movie. No doubt.

Even if Adam Sandler annoys you, this is cute, summer love story.

Summers used to be all about the major blockbuster, the one you've been waiting for all year long. Unfortunately, as Craig mentioned, the glut of Marvel and superhero movies have become commonplace. I long for something original, a new concept, but Hollywood seems set to take the remake train as far as it can. Grease and Dirty Dancing are summertime classics, but it's fun to pull up even older classics such as the Beach Party movies from the 60's like "How to Stuff a Wild Bikini" and "Beach Blanket Bingo."

Thirty years ago, a friend asked me to take his two 'hatchlings' to see Jurassic Park. Now that's a summer release that I long to see on the big screen once again -- and feel the earth shake when those Brachiosaur feet hit the ground! A little tribute for its 30th anniversary:Must. Go. Faster!
