I grew up in Australia and still have family out there so I will have to see if I can dig up some photos somewhere plus we lived in Southend-on-Sea in Essex for a few years near the sea so I have some photos of there somewhere.

I'd like to spend more time at the beaches. Sometimes it gets so hot that I just don't feel like going anywhere, but I'd like to get out to the beach more since there are so many that are easily accessible. Some of my favorites are in central California around Oceano, but the ones closer to home are nice, too. I don't know if I'd be getting in the water, but one step at a time. Here are some random pictures from the last couple months or so. My best friend and his dog, and a couple pier shots. Day trips to these places are just so relaxing sometimes, especially if I'm taking the train out.

Summer is my favoriteeee to go to amusement parks. I haven't had a chance to do that in this particular one dealing with my health problems. However, I also LOVE to Golf and spend hours on the course on my days off.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I was born to be on the water, yet here I am stuck in the middle of the Mojave desert. Summer is my favoriteeee to go to amusement parks. I haven't had a chance to do that in this particular one dealing with my health problems. However, I also LOVE to Golf and spend hours on the course on my days off. I used to love going to amusement parks, but with my arthritis it's just not feasible anymore, so I know how you feel. My husband loves to golf, but the pandemic shut down access to the course on the military base, and there's no other one close by. I love to go sightseeing on my holidays/vacation. Just back from Slovenia. Loved every moment. You have the most amazing adventures! Portobello beach just up from us... That sunset is gorgeous!! For me, my favorite place to spend the summer, or anytime really, is at my happy place, Morro Bay, CA. Just sitting near Morro Rock, watching the sea otters, and listening to the waves is so relaxing.

I drove through the Mojave desert twice last week and that was enough for me. Time for a vacation yourself! I've never actually been to Morro Bay and your picture reminded me I really need to make that trip. The whole drive (outside going through LA) is beautiful. I've also missed going to Big Bear, where at least the water should be nice and cold right about now. Get you a cabin up there.

I used to travel every weekend, holiday, and any excuse I could muster up to go to Harrison Hot Springs, BC. I love it there and already told my family I want my ashes dumped all over Harrison Hot Springs. lol I don't have any pics of Harrison anymore, they're all packed away in an album but, you can click HERE to get a rough idea. I've driven past that resort so many times and it looks beautiful just as beautiful as the rest of the town. I used to go hike and camp up there everywhere Harrison. There are 2 natural hot springs up there I kid you not, a little something nature created for everyone and always fresh warm water in the shade to relax in with a little cabin right next to them and a creek bed right next to them that dries up in the summer. I didn't get a chance to sit in the tubs because they were full but I did watch some pink, blue, and white little butterflies flutter around is if they were playing. Harrison just brings the emotions out of me and always made me feel better after a hard day at work or a hard week at work. Tons of old maps of where I used to go up in the old logging roads HERE.
