Time really escapes us all. You can blink and all of a sudden your nephew is walking, you’re a year older, it’s just crazy.
Sometimes you’re busy to stop, and look at how beautiful life really is, because you’re too busy to work to live, and live to work.
Looking at your phone or computer screen way too often has made you complacent, addiction to the notifications is real. My grandma can sit in a room with nothing to do, no screen, no phone, except a flip phone, looking out the window and watching the birds, or just sitting there thinking.
Or watching people at the clinic, walking and talking or on their phones.
Definitely a different era.
Makes you think once in a while how did the older generations get by without a phone in their free time? They actually went out and tended to gardens, talked face to face with people.
It amazes me how screen time has taken over life, even just a little. Especially “iPad kids”.
Sometimes it’s best to unplug for a day or 2, maybe a week, a month. Turn off all notifications except calls and texts so you don’t miss important/emergency calls/texts.
What are your thoughts? Have you tried unplugging to actually stop and smell the roses? (Don’t if you’re allergic!) I like to unplug at least a week a month. Just stay off the computer, only pick up my phone for texts or calls.

I often joke that i was born in 55BC (before computers) So my childhood years were filled with exploring, friends, family, camping holidays etc I lost count of the many miles i rode my bike to nearby towns etc In todays world i still have my Sony ericsson 750i, i don't need a smartphone, sure i have my computers that i watch videos on, as well as persue my hobbies and keep in touch with friends and family, but i can just as easily do without them when visiting my family as i did recently when seeing my grandchildren and great grandchildren.
I think this video sends a very powerful message

Sometimes I really wish I could have been born 40-50 years before digital life, but at the same time, this stuff has made it easier, but also equally as hard, as long as you know how to use it. But at the same time. I'm 33, and I don't want to age that fast. Although, I did find my wife through an app, and we celebrated our 10 years together this year. Made so many amazing memories, on and off video/pictures. I to enough so when we're in our 80's we can look back on everything, because the mind can slip, but pictures are forever.

I was born into technology, but not the good kind? I am not sure. haha, dial up internet and the like.. however, my son who is 10.. is and "iPad Kid" and it is honestly kind of strange... I don't fight it.. but when we went camping and took NOTHING with us electronic, and just utilized the elements, our moods were never off.. we weren't ever grumpy, and we slept better.. I sometimes "unplug" as much as I can once a week on a day off where I know I won't be needed. It is honestly refreshing.
