I've been seeing a lot of stuff recently about automation tools like Microsoft Power Automate and Zapier, and was wondering if proboards forum accounts has or will have any functionality within these platforms?
It seems like this would be a logical step in proBoards success since writing new thread topics manually can get taxing, and the buzz around new events can become stale quickly.
Using automation to create new thread topics when a favorite youtube channel uploads a new video for example would do a great job at keeping the conversations on the forum current without having to be perpetually online to create them.
Not sure if this is relevant, but I've also been curious about the logistics around spam bots -- despite being generally used for trash advertising, i have no idea how to find anything about the technology they use that enables them to successfully create accounts and write offtopic gibberish about a product on one's forum. There has to be a way to obtain this tech and use it in a way that benefits your own forum, ...right?
It would be nice to have a spam bot that creates a thread about current events somehow, just as an ice breaker. Since some topics can be controversial, it would be cool if a non-human user could post a thread topic about it so others dont experience the backlash that comes with coloring the thread with their opinion about it, intended or not.

Unfortunately this isn't something that's going to happen in the foreseeable future because PB feature development is in indefinite hiatus. It's an interesting idea, but there's no real way for it to happen without feature development, and plugins aren't allowed to send automatic server requests (eg: creating a post) so there's nothing to be done.
