This song came out just as I was entering high school, and the local rock station would play it constantly. I heard it all the time in my dad's car on my way to school: It was the first stepping stone on the progression of my music taste from grunge to alternative rock to heavy indie rock to noise rock and post-hardcore.  I don't listen to the band much these days, although their new album is actually pretty good. |

That'd probably be Rock And Roll Heaven by The Righteous Brothers. My parents always had their music playing as I was growing up so I heard most all their music, but this one was one of the best, followed by Give It To The People and Dream On.

Four songs come to mind. I remember journeys in the car when i was 2-3 years old. Sacrifice by Elton John, Read my Lips by Jimmy Sommerville, Chorus and Blue Savannah by Erasure are songs i can recall singing along to and enjoying.

Good question. I think mine was Michael Bolton's version of I'll Be There... something about his voice spoke to me at the age of six... still love him to this day, as well as it still being a great song.

This was my favorite song for the vast majority of my childhood. Only listened to country music back then. I really like the music video of this as well.
