If Im being honest im not sure this is the right place to be putting this but.... I know there is rules as far as removing the official footer but I was wondering if there was a way to alter the look besides the style of it. What I mean is I want to make it so that the links are placed in more of a 3 or 4 column system seen on other sites such as this one. I'm looking to make it so that the proboards links are in the first column with maybe if possible altercation to the link text and there would be a "header" (obviously not as large as a normal header) at the top of the column called ProBoards. But then I can add in new sections with other links such as my own Terms of Use, rules, social media links, ect. If this not possible I guess I could add it up where the "Home" is but I would prefer to do it this way. Thanks in advance.

Short answer: we are not allowed to change the ProBoards links beyond basic text/link colours. Longer answer: You may encounter forums that can kind of "fake" some adjustments -- for example, I have a work around that can create the illusion of the links being in their own box, but the coding isn't actually modifying the links themselves -- but broadly speaking we're not allowed to touch them, or the ads. If you have ad-free enabled, you can turn off the "click here to make this ad free" and "hosted by" bit via the admin panel. Other than that, it is what it is, I'm afraid.

Alright thank you and can you send me a link/screenshot of your example of it being in its own box. It may be something I'm looking for or at least close to what I'm looking for. Since I mainly want to kind of separate like you said into sections or even boxes. So users know what official Proboards stuff (Terms of Use etc.) is and what My stuff (Terms of use etc.) is. I wasn't really trying to delete any of the current information. More like alter it to be more neat? haha. OCD gets me on here sometimes. But as I said I wanted to keep the information, links, and ads there just move them over into one column. Also sorry about the confusion yesterday on that other post. I was unaware of it being frowned upon to comment on conversations so old. I just liked your post because I didn't know if you would be upset if I said something again haha. Still kind of new to talking on here as I normally have in the past just looked at other questions that may be my own and or expand my knowledge of how to work proboards.

Yeah no worries, this is a big forum with a lot of rules so it was more a friend FYI than anything serious. You can have a peek at my forum - theavatarrp.com - as an example. Design is currently a work in progress for our reopening, so please excuse the mess.

How are you gonna say "please excuse the mess" when literally is better then most the forums I've ever made or even seen for that matter but anyways. That's very similar to what I'm looking for actually so could you help me out with the code for that and I might be able to alter it slightly to not only fit my forum but also wanted to see how the | between each would look. Or even adding in a drop down section for my stuff under a horizontal rule or something as such.

Or even adding in a drop down section for my stuff under a horizontal rule or something as such. Pfft thank you for your compliments XD I am just very self conscious about it right now since I haven't been able to make much progress due to work / life being hectic. My templates and CSS are super customised which has a lot of custom-coded elements / renamed default elements so I can't just copy/paste a code for ya, I'm afraid, but I can talk about the approach to give you a launching point that you can fiddlefaddle with yourself. So, for starters, there is a div around the entire footer area. The class is .c-footer and you can target that for css changes. Note that you CANNOT directly target the individual links or the ad container. So if you wanted to change the footer background/links, you'd have to target .cfooter and then target elements within .c-footer broadly, eg: .c-footer a in order to target the anchor tag (links). CAVEAT: You may not be able to change the alignment from centre to left/right from a policy perspective; I've never tried it nor have I wanted to try it, so you'd have to ask in the main support board on this forum to see if it's permissible. Also, in your layout template, in the global wrapper, you can add a div for whatever your own content is, then arrange the css for that div to appear in the same area as the footer content, then use additional css on your custom div to position it in a manner that make it look like they're in the same footer (eg my copyright / theme credits at the bottom of my forum). Hope that helps? Happy to provide additional help once you start implementing it.
