I'm trying to put an image in a header

I uploaded an image to the theme manager and then copied this code and pasted it in the header.  It's not showing the image in the header.  What am I doing wrong?

OK so when I pasted the code into this forum, the image appeared. But it's not appearing the header. I don't get why it's not appearing in the header and no matter how I paste the code in here, it works.

Hi

The forum's headers and footers require the use of HTML so you would use the HTML <img> tag to render an image.

<img src="URL TO IMAGE HERE">
