Show Shoutbox on Forum Main Only.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this request but here goes.

My board here

My request is this, is it possible to have the shoutbox show on only the Forum main page? instead of every board as it appears now? It is below every Board, and is annoying me lol. I do hope there's a fix for this.

Yes. You don't need a plugin for this tho, just a template modification (if you have multiple themes, it will need to be done on all themes).

If you go to your admin panel, under the "structure" menu there's an option for "layout templates". click that, and on the subsequent scene you'll see a table with different templates (forum wrapper, etc). Click on "forum wrapper" and scroll the text box on the next page all the way to the bottom.

Around Line 72 (numbers to the left of the text area) you should see the $[shoutbox] variable.

If you modify this to read:

{if $[route.name] == "home"}
$[shoutbox]
{/if}

It should only show up on non-posting / board pages (home page, custom pages, etc).

You're welcome! Just a small note that if you have more than one theme, you'll need to repeat it for them all. Should be fairly quick, just wanted to call it out just in case :)
