I use an add blocker
The other day, while I was watching something, A message came up and asked me to disable it.
Does this mean that if I continue to use an addblocker, I won't be able to watch youtube?.
Or will the website just bypass it if I restart the video
I don't really want to disable it, it makes websites run faster (at least that's what it seems)

ProBoards Terms of Service state: "ProBoards imposes certain restrictions on Your use of the Website and the Services. You represent and warrant that you will not: (a) "stalk" or otherwise harass any person, or contact any person who has requested not to be contacted; (b) provide false, misleading or inaccurate information to ProBoards or any other member; (c) impersonate, or otherwise misrepresent affiliation, connection or association with, any person or entity; (d) while, using the Website and Services, use "ad blocking" software or similar built-in web browser options designed to hide, block or prevent the proper display of online advertising;" Back to the topic, other websites have similar Terms of Service. Depending on their regulations, they can take action, up to completely banning you from using the service. Look at ads as the price you pay for being able to use a service for free.

For about $18 a month you can buy YouTube Premium which gets rid of ads and allows you to download YouTube videos for offline viewing and hearing too. Please look on www.google.com for help.

YouTube is trying its best to crack down, so if you opt to keep the ad blocker it will probably affect your ability to watch videos. There's always a back-and-forth fight between addon makers and YouTube and it's a risk anyone who uses the addons take. Like Jason said, YouTube Premium is a good option (but that's also because I use YouTube Music instead of Spotify).
You'd think YouTube could put this much effort into making the ads less absolutely obnoxious, but unfortunately that's not a route they seem to be taking.

As long as ads don't start to become malicious I don't have an issue with them. I recently purchased one of those fitbit like watches through my insurance, which was Chinese made you could tell it was poor quality. I installed the app and didn't realize the AdSense logo up at the top I just wasn't paying attention and thought the registration process was linked with the app through another website so now I'm stuck waiting 2 weeks for a new credit card in the mail. It happens to the best of us really when putting my info in I'm pretty strict on where it goes to. But since this was a product given to me by me health insurance I thought surly they wouldn't have this poor of quality control. Sure you can say it was my fault at the same time the insurance company was offering a product filled with malicious ads on the app side during a registration process it's been happening more often on apps these days.
So yeah the website really should be cautious on where they place ads at the same time a user needs to be cautious also. You could just think it's a pop up linked with the website. At the same time we shouldn't have to shovel out tons of cash for an ad free experience. I remember cable companies charging $150 a month for just cable and making us watch 15 minutes worth of ads during breaks but those weren't as harmful as to where someone could think an ad pop up was just something the website was offering.

Google seems to have backed away from their anti-adblock crusade so you should be in the clear once again. There was no way they were going to be able to come out of that looking good.
