A ProBoards v5 plugin that adds a new button to the WYSIWYG and Quick Reply editors, which can be used to search GIPHY and insert a gif into your post, does this still exist?

Since they seem to allow hotlinking, I would be inclined to just embed the image manually. However, I hope you find the plugin to be useful and that it solves the issues you are having. Best of luck to you and your forum. Both images came from giphy, but perhaps I do things the long way.

For the record, this plugin doesn't host or rehost giphy images, it's just a UI that access the giphy API to do what you're describing -- embedding the image -- but with a built-in search so you don't have to leave the forum to go to giphy and find your desired image.
