Postimage upload button in shoutox

In reference to the plugin in this thread I would like to know how to stop the postimage upload button from showing up in the shoutbox.

1. Here is one approach you could try: add a data-postimg="1" attribute to the typing area so it gets skipped by the code.

   1. In the shoutbox template comment out the $[shoutbox_form.message.input] variable:

   2. then remake that textarea in HTML so you can add the attribute <textarea name="message" cols="10" rows="1" placeholder="Enter your reply here..." data-postimg="1" spellcheck="false"></textarea>

      Note:

      • The id is removed since that variable is not present in the shoutbox template but appears to have no adverse effects.
      • Your specific variable output may differ so it might be prudent to right-click and inspect the typing area of your specific shoutbox to view any differences in HTML output
      
      

   
   

   
   

2. A second approach would be to use the button relocation mechanism that was added to that plugin in a subsequent revision by creating an element in the shoutbox template with an ID of postimage-button and set the CSS display property of that element to none : <span style="display:none" id="postimage-button"></span>
   
   

   Note:

   The element must reside within the form that is parent to the typing area. So in the case of a layout template it should be between the $[...form.header] and $[...form.footer] variables
