Our late departed mother used to tell us stories sitting around a log & coal fire in the early '50s about farmers walking across a bridge with their cattle and then a huge claw-like hand would appear from under the bridge from Loch Ness and grab cattle and eat them...then we would believe her.... nowadays....yer, ok, pigs can fly.

That said, the Scot in me (paternal grandparents - Murdoch - immigrated 1925 from Mauchline and Auchinleck, maternal family - McFarland - unsure) likes to believe Nessie exists.
