I have a fully restored 1961 Shasta Airflyte. Recently I purchased a 2013 Toyota Highlander and had the tow package added. They are now telling me I need to add a trailer brake controller. Do you know is a brake controller necessary to add for the 1961 Shasta Airflyte based on the current laws and the towing capacity of my vehicle, which is reported to be $5,000 if properly equipped.
