Eagles FanzoneThis is an old board from the early 2000's and I am trying to resurrect it. Brand new design, name change and direction. While it is a site for fans of football the main purpose of the board is for memorabilia collectors to buy/sell and/or share their collections and rare finds. That said I still want to appeal to those just interested in the team in general. I am also looking for ideas to add a photo gallery and a buy/sell option. Also, does anyone have options for image hosting? I tried linking some photos from google photos and one drive but it doesnt work. Otherwise any input and ideas are welcomed. Thanks. ~Eaglegene

Thanks. ~Eaglegene I'm definitely not in your target audience, so I will refrain from giving feedback on the content itself. However I hope my feedback on some more aesthetic / structural / organisation things might be useful. - the background image is really small, especially since it's set not to repeat. I'm sure it fills the background from your perspective, but the background's size is actually relative to the size of the viewer's monitor. for me, it's just a teal background with a lot of empty space all around it (I can't actually see what the image is since it's centred behind the boards and doesn't cover the size of my browser window). you may want to add in some css to make sure the image always fills the user's screen (if you don't know how to do that, someone on the support board on this forum will be able to assist). - this is totally subjective, but i would expect some general conduct guidelines posted somewhere (maybe i missed them?), especially considering how passionate sports fans can be -- i am not a football person, but i do love baseball and i've had many a... shall we say 'passionate discussion' both online and off. a posted set of guidelines could go a long way in ensuring that folks can easily be redirected to reviewing the guidelines should passions run high. - buy/sell stuff i would be careful for; you'd need a disclaimer posted somewhere on your forum to state that none of the profits from sales are affiliated with PB + for your own safety i'd recommend having a disclaimer stating that purchases and sales are at-your-own-risk so you're not liable in the event someone gets scammed. to answer your question about image hosts: google photos and one drive are NOT image hosts, just for clarity. they're document/file storage services. if you want an image host, presuming this is just for in-post images, imgur and imgbb are good, free options. however if you want to host theme images, avatars, smileys, etc, i would recommend using the image upload option in the pb theme builder instead. hope that helps! let me know if you have any questions

When I view my site the background seems to fill the screen vertically. Horizontally, I designed it to not fill the sides and wanted the black background to stick out. Not sure it it doesnt look right both vertically and horizontally from your end or other? I have 2 laptops here and i view it both in chrome and MS Edge and seems good but I will tinker with it a bit to see if i can adjust things. I will also add those disclaimers as well. Since the site wasnt officially active yet I didnt post those yet and Im still deciding on just selling my sports cards on facebook. Otherwise I very much appreciate you taking a few minutes to give me some feedback. Thank You.

Since the site wasnt officially active yet I didnt post those yet and Im still deciding on just selling my sports cards on facebook. Otherwise I very much appreciate you taking a few minutes to give me some feedback. Thank You. Yeah, like I said, the background "filling" the screen depends on the size of your monitor. Images, generally, are a static size — in other words, if you have a 100 x 100 pixel image, that image will be 100 x 100 pixels no matter what. But how much space 100 x 100 pixel fills up is relative. If your monitor is 100 x 100 pixels for whatever reason, then an image that is 100 x 100 pixels will appear to fill the entire space. But if your monitor is 1,000 x 1,000 pixels, it will only appear to fill 10% of your space. This is why when it comes to background images that are a fixed size / not set up to repeat seamlessly, you should be mindful of relative perspective. What looks good to you on your screen will only be applicable to the users who share the same or very similar monitor resolution as you. Everyone else will have a different (sometimes drastically) experience. When I get on my desktop, I'll reply with what I see
