Holding Out Hope

Is anyone else still holding out hope for V6? 😅

LOL, okay, don’t get upset—I know the situation, but a person can dream, right? I’ve got this emotional attachment to ProBoards, okay? Judge me if you want, but I’ve been using it since I was like 15. I’m just super comfortable with the layout. I used to run some pretty big and active sites back in the day 👵🏻, and now that I’m getting back into it, we had to make the tough choice: stick with ProBoards and its dwindling coder community or move to a new platform and learn a whole new system.

We went with the new platform for a bunch of reasons, but let’s be real—I’d drop it in a heartbeat if V6 ever made a comeback announcement! 😆 I don't even know if I can post this here but I just wanted to talk about it.

I understood the reasoning for ProBoards putting the halt on V6, but I also felt tremendously disappointed that it's never going to happen, mainly because so much hard work had already gone into the project.

Meanwhile I'm vibing with the V4 theme just wanting it to be 2005 again

I really wanted to come back to proboards and vibe too, I 100% think its still useable and enjoyable but there was a lot of uncertainty around it when we were making the choice.  Proboards take my money and make me come back LOL do another go fund me or kick starter, all the cool kids are doing it now.

I resonate with this more than anyone will understand.

I like v5 the way it is. It takes me forever to get used to change

I was really bummed out when they announced they were no longer moving forward with V6. I left ProBoards for a while waiting on V6 to arrive before diving into to making any new sites or themes. I recently came back, I couldn't imagine using any other software for a forum. I've been with ProBoard for a long time. I think I was 13 or 14 when I started. Solid Snake Designs was a thing back then along with a billion other Graphic Design forums.
