Night on Bald Mountain was one of my favorite animated pieces at the time. It really inspired my artistic mind.

I am a Looney Tunes nut. My favourite character;

Wile E Coyote: Super Genius

But I love the others - Bugs, Daffy, Sylvester, Tweety, Foghorn Leghorn (great GIFs, John!).

I also loved the Wacky Races (Dick Dastardly and Muttly cracked me up), the little-known Hound Cats (a spoof of Mission Impossible) and many of the Hanna Barbera cartoons. But I always go back to Looney Tunes. Here are my ten favourite cartoons - the first five are all Wile E with the first four having him opposite the Road Runner;

I grew up without cable, so I basically just watched all the night-time network cartoons: The Simpsons, Futurama, King of the Hill, Family Guy, etc. I could never get into Saturday morning cartoons. Part of the problem with those was that I loved sleeping in as late as possible, so normally they were over by the time I woke up.

I remember that when my family first got access to the internet, when I was about 8 years old, my Simpsons obsession immediately reached new heights. I quickly discovered The Simpsons Archive (a site that's still functional to this day!) and began learning the names and even production codes of every episode. I'd spend hours trawling through their episode capsules, looking up interesting tidbits and details about the episodes that I hadn't noticed or might not have understood (being that age, I wasn't yet familiar with a lot of the old movies and other cultural phenomena that the show would reference several times per episode). By fifth grade, I was a certified Simpsons expert and could tell my friends every meaningful detail of every episode. Life was good.
