Points/Currency Plugin

Hi all. New to the forum creation scene. Was wondering if there is a up to date plugin you can recommend which will be suitable for what need it for.

I basically run a 1v1 esports forum where points/currency is needed on members profiles to be updated by staff to reflect their balances after player transfers. Points will be on my account as the “bank”.

Is there a ready made plugin already for this or do you know the best way to code this in? A lot of solutions will are either unsupported or relying on unsupported plugins so want to be a bit careful.

Unfortunately no. Those types of plugins are huge endeavours and since Peter decided to stop supporting his plugin, no one has decided to create one in his stead.

You could request one in Plugin Request Board but I will say the chances of getting this filled are pretty low. I would say that using Peter's plugin is fairly low risk, the risk is really more about changes to overall internet / web development workings rendering it obsolete without someone particularly invested in updating it.

If you really don't want to risk it, which is totally fine, you can create a custom profile field and manually add in those points after every event. There would be no way to centralise it as a useable forum currency, however, by this route, and any shop you'd make to use those points would also need to be manual.
