At first, was able to view the thumbnails for all of my pictures in File Explorer but then, they stopped showing. I never made any changes during this time and I can still view the picture when I click on the icons. I also can very briefly see the images appear when I first open the File Explorer file but then they return to the picture icons. I have searched and tried fixing the issue by unselecting the "Always Show Icons, Never Thumbnails" as well as "Always Show Menu" boxes under the File Explorer Options Menu. I also made sure that the "Display file Icon on Thumbnails" and "Show Preview Handlers in Preview Pane" boxes were checked. I have tried it with all 4 checked, all 4 unchecked, and the checking reversed, but it will not change anything. In addition, I have cleared the thumbnail cache in case of corruption several ways and that also didn't fix it. My Windows 10 is also up to date. I have no idea how to fix this and what went wrong!

Do you have a view menu like this where you can specify what you see in your folders?

This sounds like the thumbnails aren't being downloaded from OneDrive. I know, it sounds counterintuitive, but that's just how Windows works if you allow OneDrive to backup your files.
Open OneDrive, navigate to settings, and there you'll find an option to only download files as you use them. Turn that off.

Derek‽, Ahh, a true possibility that I didn't consider. I disabled OneDrive when I installed Windows.

Derek‽, Ahh, a true possibility that I didn't consider. I disabled OneDrive when I installed Windows. Same. My files are mine to handle, thank you very much. That's why I didn't give a more detailed answer in how to change the setting or what each menu is called. I opened OneDrive, it said, "Hey! Sign in!" I said, "Naw, I'm good."
