Cringeworthy Jake Paul vs. Mike TysonHello support community, In what can only be described as a top-tier circus act, Jake Paul and Mike Tyson stepped into the ring, proving that age truly doesn’t matter, especially when the opponent is half your age and twice as clueless! It was like watching a sloth try to outrun a cheetah, with Tyson swinging wildly like he was trying to swat away a particularly aggressive fly. As for the fight itself, it felt less like a boxing match and more like an awkward family reunion where someone forgot the icebreakers. Watching Jake dance around the ring was reminiscent of a child who just learned to ride a bike, but forgot how to pedal. And while Tyson looked like he was ready to unleash the fury of a thousand bedtimes, it became increasingly clear that the real winner was anyone who had access to a comfy couch. And just when you think it couldn’t get more absurd, Netflix stepped in with their poor service, streaming the action as smoothly as a broken record. Seriously, you’d have better luck trying to watch paint dry. In a shocking twist, rumour has it that Jake Paul is now eyeing Joe Biden as his next opponent. Regards February

the fight was really weird. that wasn't the tyson in training, and i have no idea wtf was going on with his mouth guard. it felt really off in multiple ways outside of the age difference.

I did a little bit of boxing many moons ago in Australia when I was a young lad but in my days you climbed into the ring, listened to the referee in the middle, shook hands (punching gloves) and got on with the match, once finished, win, lose or draw you would embrace the other guy after the winner was declared then left the ring for the dressing room. And as February said In what can only be described as a top-tier circus act is spot on and matches like this put me off boxing as a sport years ago, gone are the days of like Mike Tyson when he first hit the scene, just walk up the aisle to the ring, climbed in and got on with it. The great British Boxer of past (Sir) Henry Cooper said years ago: Opinion on modern boxersIn Cooper's later years, he retired from commentary on the sport as he became "disillusioned with boxing", wanting "straight, hard and fast boxing that he was used to from his times." While acknowledging that he was from a different era and would not be fighting as a heavyweight today, Cooper was nonetheless critical of the trend for heavyweights to bulk up as he thought it made for one-paced and less entertaining contests. In his final year, he said that he did not think boxing was "as good as it was", naming Joe Calzaghe, Ricky Hatton, and Amir Khan as "the best of their era", but asserting that "if you match them up with the champions of thirty or forty years ago I don't think they're as good".All this razzmatazz with boxers dancing into the ring dressed up as whatnot and I can remember a fight years ago when Frank Bruno won the title when he beat Oliver McCall, McCall entered the ring via a cat-walk, god man, what a load of rubbish. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKOrtRhAKv8

Caajscot (John) It has become evident to me that the public where sucker punched by the hype surrounding this match. However, it became apparent that the fighters were holding back. As Kami pointed out ,Tyson mouthguard and biting his glove seemed odd. To me it seemed a sign of frustration over participating in what turned out to be a glorified sparring match. Chris , I was either fortunate or unfortunate to witness that peculiar moment. Regards February

biting the glove to fix the mouthguard in of itself is not odd. sometimes the mouthguard gets loose, esp if someone is breathing hard. but tyson was biting it way too often, and even when he was in control of his breath. it kept his gloves by his face and imo kept him from swinging.
🤷🏽♀️ im not much of a conspiracy theorist, so i won't go as far to say as the match was rigged, but i will say it was a strange match with neither participant going all-out.

I gave up after the second fight! The buffering, pixelization, and sound problems were terrible. I had to stop the streaming and restart several times as well. I did watch the Paul vs. Tyson bout the next day and did not have any tech issues. The fight was actually boring to me, there were not as many good punches thrown as with other major events.

It was a promo exhibition match on Netflix, ffs. They both got paid more for lasting longer, so it was in nobody's best interest to actually try. Allegedly there were oddly strict rules as well, including disallowing uppercuts which kind of tied Tyson's hands in laying out the wannabe influencer.
As much as the whole world wanted to see a title-level event, it was never going to happen. It was never a real match—not in the way the audience thinks of as "real." It was only ever going to be two rich guys making obscene amounts of money by lightly sparring. That was the deal they signed up for. It was Super Bowl marketing for a pre-season game in which the starters didn't even get into uniform.

I don't see why you're exasperated lmao, things can still be weird even when there's clear reasoning behind it.

(It's not exasperation, it's dejection about the disappointing nature of the world.)

I never put enough Fixadent Gum on they will become lose and I have to bite my hand to make them secure lol. There’s a great product available in Scotland at independent health food stores called " Mother McCready's denture paste elixir". People have successfully used it as an alternative to adhesive due to its impressive hold. Regards February
