A favourite band of mine. Obviously heavily Beatles influenced, but I don’t mind that, especially as Jeff Lynne owned up to it.
In the last few minutes, ‘Mr Blue Sky’ popped up on ‘Now 70’s’ Don’t know if you get that Chanel in the US. But, anyway there’s a few of them covering every era.

Strangely then, i love some ELO songs - and this may be blasphemous - but can not stand the Beatles.

My mum's partner has Confusion as his ring tone, so i can't listen to that without the urge to tell him to answer his phone, even when he is nowhere near.

😂 Actually, I’m a very late comer to the Beatles’ appreciation society. So I do understand. ELO puts their own spin on sounding alike so,that makes difference and explains why you like some of their stuff. But, ‘Confusion’ is probably not different enough or just one of those tunes we all have, which grates.

I fail to see why it would be "strange" to like ELO but not that grossly overrated Liverpool foursome whose name shall not be spoken.

'Confusion' is a nice melody, with lyrics that actually make sense, unlike most of Lynne's others.

I absolutely love ELO.  I actually want Mr. Blue Sky in my funeral!  Other favourites include Wild West Hero, Livin' Thing, Telephone Line and When I was a Boy by Jeff Lynne.

Apparently, Mr. blue Sky was voted the happiest song ever.  Something to do with the bass beat ❤️
