Removing/ Disabling Message Icons

Is there any code to remove the message icons???


^ That's the standard icon, but I'd wish I could remove them all together.

Can you not use a 1 x 1 px transparent image in replace of them?

Yeah, it should work. Would be much better doing it that way then using a code.
