I'm trying to make little stuff too now... They are so adorable, i'm obsessed, haha. ;D I don't know what it is about them, just looking at them makes me so happy. Do you have anymore that you have made? I'm not trying to be rude when i post it here, i just want to see what Magic Carrot thinks. My first mini pictures. ;D

Heh, not bad! Trying to draw realistic styles in such a small space is extremely difficult, which is why all of my stuff is cartoony. The chair is nice! (At least I knew it was a chair. )

It is an almost magical feeling staring at a blank square and knowing you have the power to create anything you can imagine. Socks, Clouds, Buildings, Animals, anything!

Even a certain special orb.

Realistic pixel art images aren't too hard, you just have to have patience:

That's very nice. Some of the stuff that I used to see at a forum that I used to visit was really top notch.

However, I said 'in such a small space'. Sure you can draw pixel art in some very awesome ways but the smaller you get the more difficult it is to add detail to an image. I study the old NES, SNES, Genesis art from the late 80's, early 90's to learn techniques for small-scale artwork. Nintendo was mostly 16x16. Add to that limited pallettes and most people don't realize how awesome the art actually was.

I think it's pretty obvious that the smaller it is, the harder it will be to add detail. But on the other hand, the smaller it is, the easier it is to make. A 16 x 16 image is easier to make than a 1600 x 1600 image.

Pixel art shouldn't be kept small, only when you're making things such as smilies. There is no reason to make pixel art small.

I have never looked at tiny art the way i do now. You opened my eyes to alot. i've been working on this since i finished the other two, I just finished my mini room..



pixel art can be as big as you want it. i think it being small is cute and creative. And very hard to do without making everything blobs.

Ya know, for a moderator, you're quite negative. Some people have a passion for painting murals, or football feilds, or crop circles, and then others... prefer simpler pleasures.

Also, don't forget in your IMG tags that you can put in width and height parameters as well so you can make your image 2x bigger.

I can try. If time persists it's easy to change the static ones, but the animated ones have to be changed by hand, every frame. I will see what I can do.

Thank you. haha, yours are better though. btw i noticed that it looks better with dark colours around it, black. It helps you see the detail better. Here it is bigger.
