How do you resolve bad colors in tags?
For me, if I can't get the colors right, I don't try to fix it. I just make it b/w. :]

Yeah, sometimes I think it's better b/w but sometimes, I just add adjustment layers, like color balance, and things.

Well, I don't do tags... but if the colours aren't working right in my images, I turn the whole thing into greyscale and start to paint in the colour using the colour apply mode. The good thing about it is that you can mix colours and adjust the opacity so that parts look less saturated than the other. It's a little more time-consuming, but generally looks better.

If the colours aren't working then I tend to just photo filter it to death until something nice comes out Or maybe a channel mixer or colour balance to nicen the colours up a bit. Sometimes I'll brush a bit of colour on and then put it on soft light or hue and if all else fails then B&W sigs tend to look pretty nice.

Mix around with hue/saturation, see if using the same contrast there's another color scheme that looks better together. If not, I go b/w.

Make it black and white and start over on them, or just leave it as B/W. Obviously, using the channel mixer and hue/saturation adjustments, you can sort them out, but sometimes it just gets too hard.

normally i start out B/W then go ever with gradient layers. to get the colors right for the final touch, i normally use color adjustment layers.
i have about 50 different gradients to choose so i normally find what im looking for.
