Well i made a thread on this before the re-vamp of GD was done, but my topic was deleted with the rest so...here i go again.
I've made a sig in PaintShopPro 7, and i've created a rounded border, which means i have little areas to each corner that are transparent, what file type should i save this as to upload it onto Photobucket?
Help is greatly appreciated as this Sig is open in the programme :S.

Go to File > Save Optimized As. You want to save as either a GIF with transparency, or for better quality (but no transparency for IE1/2/3/4/5/6 users) save as a transparent PNG.

lol I like the way you listed every version of IE before 7. Might as well have just said IE6 or below . Anyway, for full alpha transparency (semi-transparent bits which make the edges look nicer) you want to pick PNG-24 and for normal transparency then save it as a gif. The only real advantage that gif has is that it works in IE6 or below whereas png doesn't.

Is there not?
Aha, I know. Go to File > Export > Save Optimized As.

Oh right, thanks guys, but moving back to Anselm , as i think there are rules stated somewhere that the first person to reply to the thread should be the one to deal with the origional problem. I did as you suggested, and there are 3 options for Optimized . JPEG GIF PNG any ideas? lol, im sorry about this, it's just one of those things i have no idea about.

The one-replier rule is in the Support board, not here Save as PNG for full alpha transparency, which is much better, or if you want IE6 or below users to see transparency (which isn't really required now), save as GIF. Got that?

It should do that as long as the background of the actual image is transparent in the first place. (you should be able to see a grey/white checkerboard pattern where the transparency is). If you're sure it is transparent then make sure it is saving as PNG-24 rather than PNG-8 - that might cause the problem and make sure that if there is the option then the transparency box is ticked.
