Question (Concerning use of colors on MS Paint)

Hey guys, yet another rare venture into the gfx boards

My Problem:

I saved this pic, and opened it in MS Paint.

The border color around it was a grayish color, which I wished to change to red.

However, I selected red, and when I applied red to the image, it showed up as gray. Blue, yellow, purple, all my colors (except for gray, obviously) show up as gray on that image.

In that image, there is a big gray squiggle. That is red


Any idea why I cant use colors, or why I cant add anything except for gray and black?

Yeah I had Gimp, didn't like it much

You have to have something wrong with color settings, try closing it and doing it again Or, try going to colors --> Edit colors and pick red from there.

The image was probably save as Greyscale instead of RBG. I don't know how to convert it though.
