Help!!!!!

Right i have a picture that i want on my banner of a guinea pig.
this is what i tried:


See that the image of the guinea pig is all jagged, and i cant get it to go smooth can someone make it nice and smooth for me?

oh and can you please do it quickly?
i really need it on my forum soon!
i will put the image on my banner, so can you just make the guinea pig image above smooth and nice? thanks.

Here's a quickie:

To do it, I used the Eraser on everywhere else, then selected the newly-erased parts (the non-guinea pig part) and went Select>Inverse. Then, I copied and pasted it to a new canvas with a transparent background, then used the Blur tool to make the edges nicer.
