Shadows Bluff, NY: Murder capital of the world.
The peoples of Shadows Bluff have been feeling restless lately. They have a nagging dread in the back of their minds like a surge of adrenaline that tells them something big is about to happen. A human uprising has already started, but the inner-worlders are oblivious to the humans, so they know nothing of it. Danger lurks on the horizon, but they're still in the dark.
The humans are terrified of the 'otherkyn', as they call them, but have been in a sort of temporary shock since they were revealed a few years ago. But now they're coming to their senses, and realizing that inner-worlders are much more dangerous and powerful than they thought. They don't know anything of them, which promotes their fear, and turns it into rage and hatred.
So humans have been planning an 'extermination' of sorts. The government knows about it, but doesn't help or hinder the 'revolutionaries', as they call thmselves.
Word finally reaches Shadows Bluff of the large, organized, inner-world-targetting terrorists; they are the first to find out because there's so much foot-traffic through Shadows Bluff, so they immediately send word to the other inner-world cities so they can be ready for whatever is coming.
They start hearing reports of large massacres in the other cities, done by humans disguising their scent and identities. They don't know what to do; no deaths have happened here yet, at least no more than usual, so they discount the reports and continue with their everyday lives, trying to ignore the growing gnaw of anxiety in the pits of their stomachs.
The other inner-worlders didn't stand a chance. But the peoples of Shadows Bluff are stronger, fiercer, more psychotic and reckless than others. They stand a much better chance. Will it be up to the warriors of Shadows Bluff to save the entire inner-world race? Will they prevail?

In case you're clueless as to what an "inner-worlder" is, I'll give you some examples: werewolves, vampires, faeries, witches, shapeshifters, any kind of magick-doer, Gifteds, just about anything that isn't human is an inner-worlder.
Shadows Bluff consists of mostly the outcasts, which are the halfbloods or out of control ones that aren't accepted in other inner-world cities or societies.
