Have you put your banner in using html or have you put it in 'Logo URL' under skins 'forum colours'?

That's the problem, both boards have matching URL banners, the logo is set to be replaced with a single pixel replacement which can be seen as a black dot when using the silver skin, it appears just above <<home>> on the unicorn board but to the left of "Hey X..." on the packstorm board. Another thing I have just noticed, the packstorm board is removing <<home>> and the unicorns board not... I think I need to spend some time comparing both global headers which I thought I had done yesterday... I must just be being blind..

I think, in order to have the 'Hey x...' under your banner, you must have your banner set as the logo. Then use the code to drop and centre the text.
