I tried the following code which was given to me from someone on one of the forums at PBsupport. It does not work. What should be opaque is not the colour of the text border. soooo then
<style> .windowbg { filter:alpha(opacity=50); -moz-opacity:0.5; opacity: 0.5; } .windowbg2 { filter:alpha(opacity=50); -moz-opacity:0.5; opacity: 0.5; } </style>
Leave the field in admin > edit forum colors, next to "border color", blank. The other backgrounds you should leave as is if you want partial transparency
I have asked numerous times throughout ProBoards Support forums for a code for opacity that actually works with V4. Each time I get sent to another site - That site has black writing on very dark gray.....I can't see it. A freind searced there for me, as me and tells me that people cannot get the opacity code to work.
In no obvious place is that code even given.
Please could someone just give me code, instead of sending me on a wild goose chase......why is it such a big secret anyway?
Also, where does it go. I am an older person and need detailed instructions. Please I would kneel down and beg but my knees are not so great anymore.
~Annie
ps. Can opacity or transparancy be put on one skin and not the others?

Can opacity or transparancy be put on one skin and not the others? first of all, don't keep making the same post over and over again, let the members see it. making the same thread over and over will only prevent u from gettin the help u need. and make sure u don't have that part about leaving the border color blank in there. secondly, yes you can make some skins have a certian color or colors. this is done in ur admin area under "Skins/Forum Colors". Once there click 'Create Skin'.

I am sorry, I accidently posted it twice and said so in the other post. It happened during a 'too many connections'.
I have asked over the course of 4 to six weeks for the information......it has not been forthcoming. When my request slips down 6 pages without an answer, what other alternative is there but to ask again?
I tried the bit about the boarder both ways and came out with the same result both times. So I ask again, what is the code for opacity that actually works with V4.
My secondary question was not: how do I make another skin but rather
Is is possible to have opacity or transparancy on one skin choice and not the others? I thank you though for answering what you thought the question was.

to be honest, i have never heard of this code before. the best thing to do is get support from where u got it, or u could make a code request in the Code Requests board here at support.

I got it somewhere in Support. But yes I will try the Code Request board. It's so difficult to figure where to put questions any more. Thank you for your time.
So please everybody just leave this alone. I will request it at the Coders Board.
