If someone was hosting child porn wouldn't you want someone to have the power to take the site down. I know we don't want the government involved with everything but as long as it isn't censorship like they have in china i have no problem with them taking down illegal stuff. Yes!! And in that case I would also like to see IPs getting sent to the authorities of anyone who tried to view the site. But in this instance only. Streaming sports or music isn't nearly as serious as the situation you brought up. Child Porn is just.. sick. There's a HUGE difference here.

you're a Green Day fanboy in my opinion, those are good songs. repetition is what makes the band. I've just never liked those songs:P. Doesn't help that radio overplayed them. 21 Guns was an amazing song. I can't think of anything really repetetive right now. I might come back later though

"Thou shall not have any other God before me." Does this mean that God wouldn't like a competitor? I've roamed through the Bible, to find some disturbing phrases. Something that struck me was "chosen people". So God chooses people, to save? This means that all those people around the remote parts of the world, with no access to this information of God are breaking the ten commandment? And why? Because God chooses people? Hmm... People around the world have joined Christianity. Are they ignoring their Judaic roots? It can't be ignored. The fact is, that they are saying those who had no way to find about this "one true God" are breaking it just by worshipping someone else. That's not fair to them. What type of God is this? So believing in good, doing in good, and following a just religion isn't enough. It has to be this one. Lastly, I don't blame God, but the people who created or edited the books. If there's really.. positively.. one TRUE god? I seriously doubt that it's the one the Christians made up. Yeah, if he did exist he would be afraid of a little competition wouldn't he? Perhaps from a god that actually cares/listens to his followers instead of slapping them with diseases like cancer and diabetes or telling them to help themselves before he can be bothered to help them. If there's ever only one true god? I'm putting my money on one of the older religions. You know, the ones that existed before Jesus even existed. Robert, people here might treat you with a little more respect if you possessed the capabilities to form your own opinions about anything instead of using someone elses pov as your own. For example - my parents were raised mormon and had their own views on life/religion/how I should be when I grew up. Although I carry a little of their influence with me in my adult life, I do not live as if I were them, nor did I take their opinions and use them as my own. I listened to what they had to say and formed my own opinion on (politics, religion, sexuality, equality, etc) for myself. One minute you hate Obama and love Bush, the next minute you couldn't care less. One minute Global Warming isn't real, the next minute it is but it's not our fault. See the point? Everyone has the ability to change their opinions on something, especially if given proof that voids their opinion (as many here have tried to do, fruitlessly), but it's up to you to accept that you're wrong (or right when given the opportunity to be).

Do you always believe everything you read? I've read Harry Potter, but that doesn't make it reality. I mean, you do realize that not everyone on Planet Earth believes in the Christian God, right? Just checking..
Did you know that King James (you know, the guy the bible was re-named after?) was actually an open homosexual?
Does the bible also not say "Judge not, lest ye be judged?" (I don't know HOW many times I've said that in this thread, but as long as people keep bringing up bible quotes, I'll have to keep repeating myself).
Your god, if he truly exists, will be the only one to judge anyone after their life is at an end, so why is it so important to discriminate against people who are just trying to be happy? I'm not gay, but I have no problem with gay people. In fact, my boyfriend's mother is a lesbian (after trying to fit in, get married, and had two children with a man). She knew that she was different. Conforming to what society expected her to be did not make her happy. I'm glad that she lives in a country where she has the freedom to make her own decisions.
People have been practicing homosexuality long before the bible was even written; before Jesus even lived. The ancient Romans were notoriously gay. In fact, women were often used only for reproduction, while young men were used as prostitutes for the older men.
If it was such an important issue to god, why didn't he make it known sooner? If someone in my household breaks a direct rule, I don't wait a few thousand years before letting them know o.O

This is a tough question for me. I'm VERY close to my mom.. we talk literally every day on the phone (She still lives in Alaska, so we're waaay far apart). We have a lot in common. I miss her like crazy. But my dad passed away in 09 and I miss him terribly. I've always considered myself "daddy's girl" and not having him in my life anymore has been extremely painful. But considering that I don't see them (obviously), I suppose I'd have to say "someone else", who would be my boyfriend of nine years. We live together, I don't know how much closer you can get

It was a toss up between grains and proteins for me. But I ended up picking grains If I could have picked two, it would have been these. It's tough because I LOVE meat, and if I go without it too long (too long to me is like.. more than a day) I get cravings for it. But I do the same thing with grains, really.. I'm a cereal addict And I love fresh baked bread. Sooo, yeah.. Grains ended up winning.
