I am migrating an existing forum to this platform, and we have hundreds of older, less tech savvy members who are much more comfortable with email than navigating web sites. Most are lurkers, so email notifications would work fine for them.
When I was testing email notifications, "New Post" notifications excluded the first post in a new thread, and the "New thread" notification did not include the content of the post. Is there a way to configure email notifications so that the content of the first post in a thread is delivered to the users email inbox?
Thanks.

Bummer. I guess the workaround is to ask members to post a dot in the first post and reply with their real content.

framchatadm - please note that the email notification one receives for new posts does not necessarily include the whole post (depends on the post length). Notifications are meant to alert members to activity, not be a substitute for the forum.

framchatadm, by default email notifications are not enabled by Proboards, which is why I would think and recommended that you notify your users to enable notifications for their profile. That would get alerts to them, but they would participate via the forum not via email. Just my two cents.
