Have you asked the main admin to check your staff powers and see if you have your "Critical Admin Powers" set right?

how would he set them up correctly admin--member groups--modify group--select Administator and click on continue. Tell him to make sure "limit powers" is set to no. Then click on continue to get to the page to edit all your powers.

I've had this problem also.
I've got a Member friend (that I do trust 100%) who I'd like to become a true co-administrator - without having to give him my Admin password.
But the problem is... after creating his group 'Co-Admin', with "limit powers" set to NO, and ALL other options set to YES, he still has No Options Available when it comes to assigning Member Groups himself.
Is it that only the TRUE admin that can actually assign Member Groups, or is there something weird going on?
EDIT: I've also made sure that I actually made him a member of the Co-Admin group...

When you made that member a admin, did you click on his profile and scroll down to your admin functions and change his "member group" to admin?

Yes, only the main admin can edit member groups. If someone else were given that power they could edit their own member group and give themselves powers that you didn't intend them to have.

When you made that member a admin, did you click on his profile and scroll down to your admin functions and change his "member group" to admin? I think so... I'll double check it tho, to make sure. Yes, only the main admin can edit member groups. If someone else were given that power they could edit their own member group and give themselves powers that you didn't intend them to have. That's what I figured - but why would it give you a warning about that, but then not carry out your wishes anyway?

I think Pat just changed his mind and removed the ability but forgot to remove the option from the set powers page or something.
