Hi! I wanted to change the url address of our family site, but I keep getting an error message. It says that ProBoards, Inc. has sent Google a shopping cart with errors in it. Here is a copy of the error box I keep getting. It gives me a google address to go to, but I can't figure out what to do next. Should I just wait and try again later, or what?

Hi, Apologies for the inconvenience, this looks like something we may need to correct on our end. May I get the current address to the forum please? I've gone ahead and submitted a ticket to our developers about it so hopefully it should be cleared up within the next couple of hours. I'll let you know when to give it a try again

Sure, here's the current address: terristorms.proboards.comAlso, I was wondering about something else regarding the web address change. Once the new address goes into effect, will the old address no longer function, or will it automatically direct my members to the new one? I plan on letting all my members know what the new one is, (once I actually have it, of course! ), but it would be nice if they would be redirected from the old one, until they have a chance to change the web address in their favorites.

The old address will re-direct to the new address for 2 weeks. Once the 2 weeks are up, it'll stop functioning and may be cleared to let someone else register with the name. So you would have 2 weeks to get all of your members up to speed on the new address

Thanks for the quick reply, Ricky! I will check back later, to see if anything has been resolved in regards to the conflict with google.

Not a problem I just had a talk with them and it seems that the system is fine at the moment. Can you give it another try? If it's still not working, do you have another web browser you might be able to test with and see if that helps at all?

Could I ask? Are you implementing a thing, where lets say a person has a site at b1.proboards.com but deleted it for some reason and also has a1.proboards.com and wants to rename a1 to b1, can they do it as they have owned it?

At this time, it's not possible. But we're expecting to free up some usernames that are no longer in use within the next few weeks, so it could be available to use then. Though if you have any further questions on the matter, may I ask that you create a new thread? Just like to keep threads focused to one issue to clear any possible confusion
