Help! I'm receiving this message when trying to access my forum sinfularchive.proboards.com/index.cgi?I'm assuming it's because my credit card has expired and I would like to edit the information but how do I go about doing this?

Hi,
It would have nothing to do with a credit card, as ProBoards hosted forums are provided for free, and do not require any credit card information to start or maintain.
My colleague Ricky will reply within the next 24 hours.

Thank you I would appreciate that.
I've had the board since 2009 so there is a lot on there that I would hate to lose. And while I understand Section 25(a) I don't understand why my little ole board would be one of the unlucky few.
Thank you for your reply.

Hi, Unfortunately it appears the forum was removed by our abuse team. If you would like to question about the removal of the forum, feel free to send an email to abuseteam@proboards.com and be sure to leave the URL to the forum in your message. Optionally, you can look over our community guidelines page as that outlines the prohibited content mentioned in the terms of service, in which you may find the reasoning there.

I have emailed abuseteam@proboards.com and I have read the Community Guidelines.
I don't think my board abused any of the guidelines listed. The response I just received from abuseteam@proboards.com tells me absolutely nothing as to why it was deleted and that it cannot be restored.
I've been a member since 2005. I have an active board with over 300 members, and while I have read Section 25(A) and perhaps do not agree with it I understand ProBoards legal right to delete a board.
With that said, I find the action of actually deleting a board without notifying the Admin first and to do so without any explanation to be rude and just poor business. That is not the way to treat your customers.
If a complaint was labeled against my board don't I have a right to know about that so I can rectify the problem so it does not happen again? Doesn't ProBoards give their customers any rights whatsoever?
I am sorry if my post is sounding belligerent but this is highly upsetting. I do not feel this is the proper way to treat your loyal customers who believed they were doing the correct thing by following your guidelines.
Now I have lost 6 years of posting and information and all my member emails - everything.
Is there anything I can do to have my board restored?
Is it possible for ProBoards to send me back up of my board or a list of my members with their contact emails so I can contact my members and notify them?

Warnings are issued to forums that have reported offenses that are deemed fixable by our abuse team. Since the forum was removed without a warning issued first, it would have to be worked out between you and the abuse team via the email address I provided above. Unfortunately there isn't anything more I can do for you here

The answer I received from abuseteam@proboards.com is not sufficient because there was no answer. Most likely it is an automated response generated and given to everyone that inquires about this. Just like I have seen on numerous posts on this forum and after being Googled.
I am absolutely livid with the way ProBoards treats their customers.
The lack of respect and the absolute lack of information is appalling.
It is extremely sad, because never in the 6 years that I had this board did I have a bad thing to say about ProBoards and in fact recommended ProBoards to friends and family.
You can bet that I will NEVER DO SO AGAIN. And my friends and associates that currently use ProBoards will be notified of this 'abuse' by Proboards and advised to remove their boards.
ProBoards should be ashamed of themselves.

I can assure you it wasn't an automated message you received. Out of self curiosity, I googled your forum and viewed a cache version (done by searching your forum name followed by proboards in the search, and then click the 'cache' link in the result). Not only was the forum titled "Sinful adult fan fiction"", right away in your header said the following: "Ratings for BTVS/ATS stories should be R or NC-17 ONLY. PG or PG-13 fictions will be removed from the board!" and if your forum is really like what your rules say there, then that's likely the reason behind the removal. Which you should have figured out by looking at the terms of service that you agreed to as well as the community guidelines page I linked to you earlier, as that obviously goes against our content policies. At any rate, take care and have a good day.

Excuse me but this board has been active for 6 years with the same context.
This is not a pornographic board, there is nothing degrading on this board of any kind. Stories that were posted were labeled 'adult' because they are romance stories with love scenes.
If ProBoards, after 6 years of the forum being active, now suddenly decides that the board is not complying within the rules and guidelines, then I being the administrator should have been made aware of the deletion so I could take steps to back up my information and let my members know. Or at least send me my member's emails so I can contact them directly. Have some consideration for the people you are screwing over for no good reason.
No matter how you slice it, the way this has been handled was wrong.
I have seen many similar posts like mine, so I know I am not the only one experiencing this issue with ProBoards.
ProBoards might want to take a look at how you conduct business because if you keep deleting boards with no reason, no explanation, and no forewarning, you will quickly lose your customer base.
Goodbye

It doesn't matter how long it's been online for if we've only just been made aware of it now. Next time you register for a service, read their terms of service beforehand like you're supposed to and you'll figure out then if that service is right for you, which if you want a forum based around adult content then clearly ours is not.
There is nothing more to discuss here as everything has already been said. Again, take care and have a good day.
