Forum URL: weightlosssurgery.proboards.comMy interpretation: It is not a personal attack or name calling offense if it involves someone who is not a member. I liken that to someone calling a politician an idiot. Is this correct? Background: My board is composed of people who left another non-Proboards board due to privacy issues and abusive moderation practices. I have a lot of angry people who are still venting about what has happened to them. However, they mention only screen names and none of the subjects are members and won't be. I have banned and will ban any who join. While I have one area open to guest viewing, none of this kind of thing is permitted there. Eventually, I'm hoping to disallow mention of that old place at all, but it is still to soon for that. Thank you for your help!

Just because someone isn't a member on your forum, that doesn't mean anything posted isn't harassing.

I'm not arguing and I'll do whatever I need to do to make you happy. But, I really don't understand how you can be harassing someone who isn't there and it is not made public or available to bots. Does this also mean that we can't call the Kardashian's attention whores, Sarah Palin a fruitcake, or Lindsay Lohan a druggie? My members don't even use real names. Modified to add: my members are going to be questioning me hard about this. That is why I ask, so I don't have to come trudging back here with more questions on this subject. Thank you for your patience!

Posting harassing comments is against the ToS. If you want legal advice, please talk to a lawyer.

I'm not asking for legal advice.
I'd just like Proboard's definition of "harassing comment."
And then I'll stop harassing you. ;D
