Dear Friends! I logged into my proboards account at an internet cafe and forgot to log out. When I came back I noticed I couldn't read any posts that I put up! Either I accidentally hit the wrong button, there was a PC blip or someone who used the computer after me played a prank on me. How does one deactivate the ignore function. I never knew one could activate the "ignore option" for one's own posts!

Hi, Can you link to the forum in question please? And can you provide an example of a post where you're seeing that message? We don't offer an ignore posts feature at this time, so I would assume this would be a code issue of some sort. But I'll know for sure once I see an example

Thanks for checking back. In the posts where you see the ignore message, check under your avatar for the and click that. This will un-ignore the post. Also to add, the code that's in place for the forum to ignore posts is based on your browser cookies, so the posts would have been ignored on the computer you see the ignored message on. If you were to use another computer and login to your account, the posts you ignored will be visible on the different computer. Hope this helps

Thanks Ricky! You're the fastest repairman ever!! Is that smiley a new addition to our forum? I didn't notice it before! I was at an internet cafe and the pc image kept jumping and I might have unintentionally clicked it.
So I assume that all members on our forum can click the smiley to ignore someone, including themselves! ;D

Correct, that smiley can be used to ignore or un-ignore posts that they choose. This in itself is not a feature of Proboards, rather, the code would have been added by a staff member of the forum

I use the same code on my forum. However, I've changed the images for ignore/unignore to custom images that actually SAY ignore/unignore so that it's more obvious what's being done.
Maybe your board admin would consider doing something similar? I used a site called grsites.com to make mine. It's fairly simple.
