I removed that bit of code. Sorry about that! Haha. And the drop down seems to just show the file names. Is there a way to make it show the actual GIF? Also I opened up this section to guests: clarksoncrisis.proboards.com/board/1/loungeThanks!

And have you tried another browser to see if it IS a browser problem?

Hello, Todge! Firstly thanks for this great plugin. We'd be lost without it. I'm wondering if there is a limit to the amount of smilies I can have in the drop-down list. I have about 374 and it's refusing to take any more, it seems. It is taking the images and they show up in the list, but they come out only as a code in the posts. Also, another query! This has been going on forever, it seems. There's an inconsistency in the way the smilies are accessed, when posting. On some threads, they are accessed by clicking on the smilie button at the top, while in other threads the smilie drop-down list is separate from the button and is out to the side of the reply container. Can this be explained or rectified? Actually I see that I brought up this subject before. support.proboards.com/post/6430040/thread I think the reply was that more updated version would rectify that. I have the latest version, and it still remains. Many thanks in advance!

This is because there is a set length that a plugin can be, with every smiley URL you add you are increasing the length of the plugin code, but I would have thought it could handle 300+ smileys with ease. As for the QR anomaly, in the plugin settings you have it set to display the drop down in the QR, but if you are wanting it to be displayed in UBBC buttons you need to select 'Yes, in EB's UBBC code' instead.

Thanks, Todge. Up to now I had been using imgur mostly. Now we are encouraged to use Photobucket. The urls in Photobucket are much longer than imgur. So I think we may have reached our limit of how much we can stare, using Photobucket. Not saying that that is a bad number! Your reply to my 2nd question seems to have worked. Many thanks for your quick response!

If you run out of space in the code for more smilies you can add more by putting this in your GLOBAL Header/Footer... <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ var extraSmiles = new Array(
'URL OF IMAGE', 'URL OF IMAGE'
); var extraSMCodes = get_smilie_codes(extraSmiles); smURLs = smURLs.concat(extraSmiles); smCodes = smCodes.concat(extraSMCodes); }); </script> Edit the red area making sure that the last image URL does NOT have a comma.

As you have posted here I assume you are using this plugin? If so, simply add them to the list of smilies you already have. All posters should be able to use all the smilies. If not, you can add a certain amount of additional smilies to PB's standard set in the Admin Panel.
