familycow.proboards.comGot an email with this: "I am having trouble logging into the proboards. It won't let me. I log in and it takes me right back to the log in again and then it will finally give me an error of 502 bad gateway. Something about proxy server or something. Can't remember now what it is. I have tried it from two different computers now and it's the same so am wondering if proboards is having trouble or if it is something on my end" I've asked her if both the computers are in her house, and to report her IP address, if that is likely to be the issue. Thanks!

I also cannot log on and when I tried to reset my password it says my email address is not on your system. My email addy is kajakat@hotmail.com. I had this problem a couple of months ago and I had to start new eve tho I've been using Proboards for about ten years. Please help

Ricky, I PM'd you with another IP address. I also had a third person unable to logon using the browser on her phone - although she is able to use the app.
All three are using either aircards or cellphones to access the internet. The noheaders logon doesn't make a difference. Apparently the error message was a one-off... its not been able to be duplicated. They generally have the "stay logged in" box checked, but were presented with a login screen. Enter username and password, and it just returns to the login screen, I guess similar to what it would do if the password were incorrect. I've sent them the password reset link, and that doesn't help either.

Any way to verify that is the issue? It depends on the actual issue they experience. The issue that some AT&T customers may experience is that when they try to login to their forum account, they'll be brought to the index page of the forum and while the "Users Online" list of the info center will claim that they are online, they are still only viewing the forum as a guest. If this is what is happening to them and they're on AT&T, then that would likely be the cause. Otherwise if they get an actual error message when visiting the forum, such as the 502 bad gateway, or another error message displayed by their web browser, this would be a separate issue. Our system admins got back to me now to let me know that both IP's you sent me are not being blocked on our end, so that rules that possibility out. Could clarify with the members on what exactly happens when they visit the forum, perhaps in a step-by-step format on what they do and what the end result is?

When they navigate to the forum it shows that they are not logged in. When they click the login link, and enter username and password, the login page just refreshes, it doesn't give an error message. The "forgot password" link works, but changing passwords does nothing to correct the problem.
I have one board that allows guests to post, all others require them to be logged in.

I'm experiencing the same problem myself & some of the members on my forum as well. We're all having the trouble when trying to login with our AT&T data plans. Same thing, when I try to login to the forum using the browswer, the page just refreshes & doesn't log me in. When I try to access the forum using the app I just get this message "Failed to connect to forum, please check with the forum administrator if this problem persists." support.proboards.com/board/12/proboards-mobile-app-support
