Hi there,
A forum I'm a member of (evidencelocker.proboards.com) has recently upgraded to v5 (so I hope this is the right place-feel free to move it if not).
When I tried logging in after the upgrade I was asked to set up my global account and link the forum, which I did. When I then tried to continue my login, I got a white screen saying "This account has not yet been approved".
I contacted the admin who says he has no pending messages on the admin cp by which he can approve me.
I've tried clearing all my cookies and using private browsing modes but I get the same message. I've used Firefox, chrome and Internet Explorer (running windows 7) to try to log in, but it's the same for all of them.
I've also tried logging in via the mobile app, but I get a variation on the same message (forum administrator needs to approve me).
Any ideas on why this is happening or what I can do to fix it?
Thanks.

Hi Just to make sure he is looking in the correct place, could you ask him to look: admin >> members >> pending members If nothing shows, you will need to provide the url to the forum and the username in question

Yep, he's definitely checking the right place. There are no pending requests. The forum is: evidencelocker.proboards.com and my account name is morganfleaman Thanks!

I'm the admin for nightshade-academy.proboards.com/ and several of my users are having this problem after the upgrade to V5. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Hi, hfotino. What happens when users attempt to login? Does the page say their account is pending approval by a staff member or something else?

They get the following message "This account has not yet been approved." on a white screen with nothing else. I have no accounts pending approval on the appropriate tab. I've checked multiple times.

Can you compose a list of each of the known accounts affected by this?
Also, were there any unapproved accounts prior to converting your forum from V4 to V5?

To my knowledge, there were no accounts that required approval.
The ones are known to be affected are as follows: Phee, drubenstein, Rikki, and nunia.
Thank you.

I've forwarded this thread to a developer. They'll look into it shortly.

Is there anything I can do in the mean time to get my users onto the forum? You could try disabling this, until it has been fixed.

Is there anything I can do in the mean time to get my users onto the forum? For the time being, they'll either have to register new accounts or post as guests (you'll have to disable Guests Must Login briefly for this to work). Your Forum Settings page in your admin area also has the option to display a message on the Guests Must Login page, so if you'd like to notify them that way, it's an option. I'll try and get this looked at as soon as I possibly can. Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.

Hi hfotino, sorry for the wait. The four users you mentioned have now been approved. When looking at your user list, I also found 4 other accounts which were currently listed as 'needing approval': gonzo, iste, lucy, and gnomeskillet. I took the liberty of fixing those as well. (Since you mentioned that none of your users should have been waiting for approval.) This should not affect you again, as it seems to only happen to forums when they convert to V5 for the first time. But I'll be looking into the root cause so that this doesn't happen to other forums.
